If the Birth takes place in any Government Hospital or Institute, then the Birth Certificate of that child will be issued by the Medical Officer in Charge of that Hospital or Medical Institution.

What is the time period to apply for Birth Certificate?

How to Apply Onlne Birth Certificate Online?

Government of India started Online web portal for its citizen to Apply Birth Certificate Online and easily download it. Then step by step online application process is described here.

Step 1: At first visit the official website of Birth & Death Registration by Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner, India. The Civil Registration System in India is, crsorgi.gov.in and then click on the General Public Signup option.

Step 3: After completing these steps, you will get an email on your mailbox, containing your Username and Account Activation link. Click on that link and activate your account.

Step 4: Log in with your Username and Password. Then click on the Add Birth Registration from the menu.
