NEET 2020: Application, Exam Date & Syllabus

National Testing Agency (NTA) published the official notification for NEET 2020 entrance examination. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 2020 will be held on 13th September 2020 all over India, conducted by NTA. The Online Application for NEET 2020 will start from 2nd December and continue upto 31st December 2019. According to the official notification published by NTA, the NEET 2020 will be an Offline Pen-Paper based Exam and the exam also held once a year only.

NTA NEET 2020 Exam details

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is National level medical entrance exam for admission in MBBS, BDS and Ayush courses on various Medical Colleges in India. Students who are currently studying in class 12 with Physics Chemistry and Biology subjects are eligible to apply for NEET 2020 examination. NEET is the common entrance examination to take admission in MBBS/BDS course on various Government and Private Medical Colleges. NEET 2020 Entrance Exam

From last year NTA organising the complete Application & Counselling process for NEET Exam. Students who want to take admission in MBBS course under AIMS, JIPMER or any other State Medical College in India, must have to seat for NEET 2020 Exam. NEET 2020 will be a pen and paper based offline exam.

There will be a total of 180 MCQ questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology Subjects and each question will carry 4 marks. So, the total marks for NEET 2020 will be 720. This year NEET 2020 Exam will be held on 13th September 2020 all over India. The question paper will be available on 11 Regional Languages including English.

NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2020 is prescribed by National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must have to fulfil all the eligibility guidelines before fill the online application form.

Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 17 years as on 31st December 2020. Candidates below this age limit cannot apply for NEET 2020 Exam. There is no upper age limit to apply.

Nationality: Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India, Person with Indian origin are eligible to apply for NEET 2020 (UG).

Education Qualification: The candidates must have completed his/her 12th course from any recognised Board or Council with at least 50% marks (for UR), 45% marks (for PH) and 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC) candidates in PCB group.

Required Subjects: Candidates must have the following subjects in their 12th Course – Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Biotechnology with English as a mandatory subject.

10+2 Appearing Students: Students who are currently studying in 10+2 course and will appear 2020 Bord Exam, can also apply for the NEET 2020 exam with some certain conditions.

NEET 2020 Online Application Form

  • National Testing Agency will organise the complete online application process for National Entrance cum Eligibility Test 2020.
  • Online application for NEET (UG) 2020 will start from 2nd December 2019 and continue up to 31st December 2019.

  • Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature on the Application form.

NEET 2020 Question Pattern

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the common entrance test conducted by NTA for Admission in MBBS and BDS courses. The NEET question paper also prepared by National Testing Agency (NTA). Here is some important information about this Exam.

  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is an Offline Pen-Paper based Exam.
  • There will be a total 180 questions from Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions) and Biology [Botany & Zoology] (90 questions) subjects.
  • The total time duration of the NTA NEET exam will be 3 hours.
  • Each question will carry 4 marks. So the total marks of NEET UG Exam are 720.
  • All the questions are MCQ type with for options with one single correct answer.
  • For every correct answer, students will get +4 marks and for every wrong answer students will get -1 marks. So, there is Negative Marking.
  • The question paper of NEET UG Exam will be in 11 languages. Candidates have to select his/her preferred language at the time of Online Registration. The available languages are – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.

Syllabus for NEET 2020 Exam

Medical Council of India (MCI) prescribed a common format for NEET-UG Syllabus. Maximum questions will come from these topics. NEET Syllabus prepared on the basis of Class 11th &12th PCB syllabus. NEET 2020 Admit Card Download

National Testing Agency will issue Admit Card / Hall Ticket for NEET-UG 2020 Exam. Candidates can download their admit card from ntaneet.nic.in the website by login with their Registration Number and Password. Examination related all the information will be mentioned on the admit card.

Date of the examination, Exam Centre, Roll Number, Date of Birth, Photograph, Signature and Language of the Question Paper etc will be available on the NEET Admit Card. NTA will send any paper Admit Card through Post or courier. Candidates have to download their Admit Card from website only. NEET 2020 Admit Card will available from 11th July 2020 onwards from the official website.

NEET Cutoff Percentile & Expected Cutoff Marks

The candidates will be selected and ranked on the basis of their score will obtain in NEET UG Entrance Test. The merit list of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test contains the name of the candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks in the examination.

How to prepare for NEET 2020 Exam

National Testing Agency will publish the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Result on October 2020 on their official website, ntaneet.nic.in. Candidates have to log in to this website with their Application Number and Password and download the NEET 2020 Rank Card. Counselling Process for NEET UG Exam

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will organise complete Online counselling process for NEET 2020 entrance exam. The online counselling process for admission in MBBS and BDS course will start from the 2nd week of October 2020. The central counselling will be done for the 15% All India Quota seats. Remaining seats will be filled up by State Medical Counselling authority.
