NSOU BDP Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Netaji Subhas Open University published all the required eligibility criteria for NSOU BDP Admission 2023. Before filling out the online application form, candidates must have to fulfil the following eligibility guidelines.
B.A (Hons) in Bengali (HBG)
Candidate must have to pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent examination. 10+2 Vocational Courses students can also apply for this course.
B.A (Hons) in English (HEG)
- Candidates passed the HS (10+2) Examination or Equivalent Examination.
- Minimum 40% Marks in English required on HS Exam.
B.A (Hons) in History (HHI), Politics Science (HPS), Public Administration (HPA), Sociology (HSO)
Candidate must have to pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent examination. 10+2 Vocational Courses students can also apply for this course.
B.Sc (Hons) in Physics (HPH)
- Candidates passed the HS (10+2) Examination or Equivalent Examination.

Fill out the Application Form
Visit the official website of Netaji Subhas Open University, www.wbnsou.ac.in or the Online BDP Admission Portal 2023 (link is given below). Then click to the Apply Online for UG Honours Admission 2023 link, available on the website.
Now fill the complete application form, choose your preferred Study Centre and then upload your scanned Photograph & Signature. Submit the Online Application Form & take print out the Application Form.
You will receive an SMS & email from NSOU informing your Application Number.
Online Documents Verification by University
Netaji Subhas Open University will verify all the uploaded documents. This may take some time (1 or 2 days). After successfully verified they will approve the application. Students can check their application status by login to the website.
Students have to upload the following documents on the NSOU BDP Admission portal. –

- Madhyamik Exam Marksheet.
- Madhyamik Admit Card for Date of Birth Proof.
- Higher Secondary Exam Marksheet.

I am pursuing BDP course on English from NSOU. I have a doubt, can I study MA from a regular University after completing graduation from Open university? And Is a degree from NSOU valid everywhere (in private sector also)?
Hello Rajib, yes you can apply for MA from any regular University after completing your BDP/UG course from NSOU.
What are the other subjects I need to study apart from… if I choose English as (Honours), History as (Subsidiary) in BDP from NSOU.

Hello Namrata, for three years English Honours course you have to study all these subjects – English (Honours), History (subsidiary), Foundation Subjects (Humanities and Social Science, Science and Technology, Bengali, English) and Environmental Studies.

Hello Namrata, Benali is no compulsory/subsidiary for admission in English Honours course (EEG). You can choose your subsidiary from these three subjects – BENGALI / HISTORY / POL. SCIENCE.
