WB State Level NTSE Scholarship Exam Eligibility Criteria

Know more about the Eligibility Criteria for State Level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2021 Scholarship Examination.

1. Students who are currently studying in class X at any school/madrasah under any State Board or Central Board are eligible for West Bengal NTSE Scholarship 2021.

2. To apply to West Bengal State Level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2021 candidates have to pass with at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/PH) on the last final examination of class Nine (IX).

3. Students, who are currently studying at Open Distance Learning (ODL) under NIOS or West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling are also eligible for applying for this Talent Search Examination. The age of the students must be below 18 years (as of 1st July 2021).

5. Students must have a bank account with their names. So that the scholarship amount can be easily transferred to the bank account.

WB NTSE Scholarship 2021 Online Application Process

The application process for State Level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2021 will be done Online. The last date for the Online Application for NTSE Scholarship 2021 is 30th November 2021. No application fee is required to apply for West Bengal National Talent Search Examination 2021.

Step 1: At the first visit, https://scholarships.wbsed.gov.in website to apply for State Level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2021.

Step 2: Now click on the ‘New user register here‘ click on the home page. And then select the examination name, State Level National Talent Search Examination 2021.

Step 3: On this page, you have to fill in some basic details about yourself. Candidates’ s must have an active email id and phone number to apply for this scholarship. Generate a password to access the page. After saving all the data, students will get a unique Registration Number. This is the Registration Process. Now you can log in to the scholarship portal by the help of an Application id and Password.

Step 4: Now, log in with your Registration Number and Password. From the Dashboard, click on the Form Fill up the option and fill the Application Form with your complete details like – Postal Address, School Address, Other Info and Upload Scanned Photo and Signature. Then click on the SAVE button.

Step 5: After login in to your account fills the next step of the Application form by entering some information about your address, school address, bank account details, Aadhar number etc. Upload a scanned passport size photograph on this page. And then click on the ‘Save‘ and ‘Lock‘ buttons. Download the Institution verification Form and take print it out.

Step 6: In this step, students have to upload the supporting scanned documents on the website. Upload the following documents –

Step 7: After uploading all the documents click on the ‘Finalize Application‘ bottom. Your Application will be reviewed within a few days and you will be informed through SMS or email.

West Bengal NTSE Exam 2021 Question Pattern

Learn more about the question pattern, marks division and other important information about the State Level National Talent Search Examination, 2021 for students studying in class 10th.

There are three parts to this NTSE Exam.

  • Part-I Mental Ability Test.
  • Part-II Scholastic Aptitude Test (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics).
  • PART-III Language Test (English / Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali).

Mental Ability Test

This Part-I question paper will contain 100 MCQ type questions and each question carries 1 mark. The total time allowed for this Part is 120 minutes (10:30 AM to 12:30 PM). There is no Negative Marking for wrong attempts.

Scholastic Aptitude Test

In Part-II, questions will come from Mathematics (20 questions), Physics (13 questions), Chemistry (13 questions), Biology (14 questions), History (12 questions), Geography (12 questions), Political Science (8 questions) and Economics (8 questions) subjects. Total marks for this paper is 100 and time allowed 120 minutes (01:30 PM to 3:30 PM).

There is also no negative marking for the wrong attempt and all the questions are MCQ type.

Language Test (English / Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali)

On this Language Test part, candidates have to choose any one of the languages from, English, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu and Nepali and have to answer 50 MCQ type questions of marks 50. The time allowed 45 minutes (12 O’clock to 12:45 PM) for this Test.

    I am Anshul Dutta of class 10 .
    It is now not possible to get the signature of the head of Institute. And without it the application is not getting locked and finalized. So what should I do?
    And I am requesting to change the date of ntse because 17th January is also the IOQM exam so many students have problem on this. Please look on all this matter as this year’s situation is different.

    • Hello Subhadip, yes you have to read all the chapter as per old syllabus (2019). Questions may come from these chapters also.
