The University of Burdwan started the Online Application for 2-year B.Ed programme in Self-financed B.Ed. Colleges under Burdwan University for the session 2019 to 2021. Eligible candidates can apply online for this B.Ed programme. Admission Eligibility Criteria
Candidates master to fulfil the following eligibility guidelines to apply for two year B.Ed programme in Self-financed Colleges under the Burdwan University.
- Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in the Science / Social Science / Humanity / Commerce or B.E. / B.Tech which specialisation in science and mathematics with 55% marks.
- There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC, ST and Physically challenged candidates.
- Age of the Fresh candidates as on 30th June 2019 shall not exceed 38 years and there shall be a relaxation of 5 years in favour of DA Category candidates.
- The ratio for Home University students and other University students shall be 80:20 as per government order.

Online Application Process
The Application for admission to b.Ed programme will be made through online mode only. The online application form will be available from the 22nd May 2019 to 5th June 2019 on Burdwan University website (www.buruniv.ac.in).
Application Fees
Candidates have to pay the application fees of Rs. 300 through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / Allahabad Bank e-challan after submission the online application form.
Upload Scanned Documents
Applicant should upload scanned photograph and signature files. The files must be of type png or
jpeg and the size of the photograph and signature must be within 3 MB.
Chose Colleges & Method Subjects
At the time of submission of the application form, each applicant would give maximum 15(fifteen) Colleges as their choice in the application form, subject to availability of seat and method subject. In this case, candidates are advised to prepare a list of 15 colleges as per their preference subject to availability of method subject and seat before going to fill up online application form otherwise they may face the problem of time out during the process.
Selection Procedure for B.Ed Admission 2019

For Fresh Candidates
For Fresh Candidates, Method Subject wise Provisional Rank shall be prepared on the basis of
their Grade Point to be computed as per the following norms.

For Deputed Candidates
For Deputed Candidates, Provisional Rank list shall be prepared on the basis of their approved length of service as on 30.06.2019. In case of the same length of service of two or more candidates, the 2nd and 3rd criteria shall be Total Grade Point and Date of Birth respectively.

Publish of Merit List
Provisional merit list for B.Ed Programme 2019 will be published on the Burdwan University website on the 18th June 2019. The merit list will be published in a PDF format and it will contain the Name, transaction number, Category, Method Subject, Grade Points and Rank of the candidates.
B.Ed Course Fees
Total fee for pursuing this Programme in the Self-financed Colleges is Rs. 50,000/- (including Uni. Exam. Fee Rs. 1000 for 1st & 2nd semesters) per annum both for Deputed & Fresh Candidates of which Rs. 20000/- will be paid at the time of admission and the rest (i.e.Rs. 30000/-) will be paid in six (6) equal monthly installments starting from the month of September every year.
Note that the total course fee for 2-years is Rs. 1,00,000/- per student. In addition to the above fees, students will pay the only Enrollment fee, Centre fee etc. separately
The authority of each Self-financed College will spend Rs. 75,000/- only per unit (i.e. for 50 students) in every academic year for the benefit of the students in the form of relaxation of tuition fees. This benefit will be given to the poor and meritorious fresh candidates but not to the Candidates to be admitted on Management Quota.
