National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE) for West Bengal Students, who are currently studying in class eight. Directorate of School Education, West Bengal organize this scholarship examination.

Students of class VIII from all over West Bengal are eligible to apply for NMMSE 2017 Scholarship Exam. National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE) 2017 Exam will be held on 5th November 2017. The last date of Online Application is 31st August 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE)

■ Students who are currently studying in class VIII on any school/madrasah under any State Board or Central Board are eligible for apply NMMSE 2017 Scholarship.

To apply National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE) candidates have to pass with at least 55% marks on last final examination of class Seven.

■ Students, who are currently studying at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and State Government run residential schools or any Private school, are not eligible to apply this scholarship examination.

The annual family income of the candidate does not exceed Rs. 1,50,000 (One lakh fifty thousand).

■ Students must have a bank account with her name. So that scholarship amount can be easily transferred to the bank account.

NMMSE 2017 Online Application Process

The application process for Centrally Sponsored National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE) 2017 will be done through Online. The last date of Online Application for NMMSE is 31st August 2017. No application fee required to apply for National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination.

■ At first visit, https://scholarships.wbsed.gov.in website to apply for Centrally Sponsored National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination 2017.

■ Now click on the ‘New user register here‘ click on the home page. And then select the examination name, ‘Centrally Sponsored National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination, 2017‘.

■ On the next page, you have to fill some basic details about yourself. Candidate’ s must have an active email id and phone number to apply for this scholarship. Generate a password on access the page. After saving all the data, students will get a unique Application Number. Now you can log in to the scholarship portal by the help of Application id and Password.

■ After login to your account fill the next step of Application form by entering some information about your address, school address, bank account details, aadhar number etc. Upload a scanned passport size photograph on this page. And then click on the ‘Save’ and ‘Lock’ button. Download the Institution verification Form and take print it out.

■ On this step, students have to upload the supporting scanned documents on the website. Upload the following documents -, Verification Certificate (2nd Page Only), Bank passbook front page, income certificate, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Physical Disability Certificate (if applicable).

■ After uploading all the documents click on the ‘Finalize Application‘ bottom. Your Application will be reviewed within few days and you will be informed through SMS or email.

■ The Last Date of Online Application is 31st August 2017.
■ Admit Card for NMMSE will available from last week of October 2017.

National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE) Question Pattern

Learn more about the question pattern, marks division and other question-related information about Centrally Sponsored National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination 2017 for students studying Class VIII. There are two parts of this NMMSE Exam. Part-I is Mental Ability Test and Part-II is Scholastic Aptitude Test (Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Science, History & Geography).

Mental Ability Test :
This Part-I question paper will contain 90 MCQ type questions and each question carries 1 mark. Total time allowed for this Part is 90 minutes (10:30 AM to 12 Noon). There is no any Negative Marking for wrong attempts.

Scholastic Aptitude Test :
On Part-II, questions will come from Mathematics (20 questions), Physical Science (18 questions), Life Science (17 questions), History (17 questions) and Geography (18 questions) subjects. Total marks for this paper is 90 and time allowed 90 minutes (01:00 PM to 2:30 PM). There also no negative marking for the wrong attempt and all the questions are MCQ Type.

The result of West Bengal Centrally Sponsored National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE) 2017 will be published on this WBSED Result Page. The result will be published on April 2018. The cut off Marks for NMMSE 2017-18 examination depends on various factors. But the expected cut off marks nearly 60% (108 marks).
