The Government of West Bengal, Labour Department publish the admission notice for 3½ Years GNM Course under ESI Hospital, West Bengal. Higher Secondary Passed Girls students can apply for admission to the General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course on ESI Hospitals for the season from November 2022 to October 2022.

Total seats for West Bengal ESI GNM Nursing Traning Course Admission are 90 for the season 2022-2025. These total seats will available on these two ESI Hospitals.

- Schedule Tribe candidates: 6%
- OBC-A candidates: 10%
- OBC-B candidates: 7%

Eligibility Criteria for WB ESI GNM Admission
Candidates, who want to apply for West Bengal ESI Hospital GNM Nursing Traning Admission 2022, must have to fulfil all the below eligibility criteria.
1. The Candidate must be a Citizen of India and a Permanent of West Bengal from last five years.
2. The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent from any recognized Board/Council to apply for ESI GNM Admission.
3. The minimum age limit of the applicant not below 17 years and the maximum age limit not above 27 years as on 1st January 2022.
4. The candidate passed HS examination from any recognized Council or Board with 40% qualifying marks in English.

Candidates have to apply offline for the admission on 3 years GNM Nursing Traning course under ESI Hospital. Candidates can apply for WB ESI GNM Nursing 2022 Admission in two ways.
- Download the Application Form Online. OR
- Collect the Application Form from the office of NTC, ESI Hospital Manicktala.

The step by step application process of WB ESI GNM Nursing course 2022 is described below. Follow the process to apply.
Step-1: Download the Application Form Online from WB ESI official website (link is given below) or Collect the Application Form from the office of NTC, ESI Hospital Manicktala, Kolkata.
Step-2: All filled up application forms, along with original demand draft and all required documents have to be submitted by Hand or by Speed post or Registered post at the office of NURSES’ TRAINING CENTRE ESI HOSPITAL MANICKTALA, 93- BAGMARI ROAD KOLKATA – 700054.
Step-3: Application fees is Rs. 350 payable only by Demand Draft in favour of “ESI MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY” Payable at KOLKATA.

Candidates Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for admission on West Bengal ESI GNM Nursing Traning Course, on the basis of the total marks obtained in Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent exam.
Selection will be made strictly on the basis of total marks obtained in one language (best among language papers) in addition to best of three marks among selected subjects as mentioned below. A minimum of 40% marks in English language paper is mandatory.
The percentage will be calculated on total of four subjects.
Preference will be given to the candidates having PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) subjects in their HS Course.
For PCB combination applicant: 20(twenty) marks will be added with P.C.B (physics, chemistry and biology) Subjects. (candidates must pass both in theory & practical separately).
Total marks (four subjects) = Marks of PCB + best marks in Language paper +20 (Twenty)
Other than PCB combination applicant:
Total marks (four subjects) = Marks of best of three + best marks in Language paper
Students, who passed in Vocational Stream or from Open Schools, are not eligible to apply.

Hello Silpa, both the courses are same under West Bengal Nursing Council, one is managed by WB Health and Family Welfare Department and the other is managed by WB ESI Department. After completing the GNM Course from WB ESI or WB Health, you will get the certificate and registration only, no job guarantee.

Hello Barsha, as per the official guidelines, candidates have to send attested photocopies of their documents. If you forget to attest the documents, then it’s your mistake. This is not a critical issue. Your application will not be cancelled for that.

Hello Kuheli, Entitlement Certificate is the Insurance Certificate from ESIC. You can make the demand draft from any bank. If Panchayet Pradhan, signed on the Residential Certificate Proforma, just attach this proforma copy. No need to attach another copy of the residential certificate.

Hello Nishani, both West Bengal ESI GNM and WB Health GNM Course are good. It’s depends upon the college where you got chance. If you got a good college under WB Health, then go for it otherwise chose ESI Hospital. Both the facilities, syllabus and Exam Schedule are same for both the Institutes.

Hello Mallika, the cut off percentage varies every year. But you can expect it will be always more than 80% for General Category candidates.
